Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh Company, is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and operate electrical and automated control systems on an active airport ramp. You will read schematics, work with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and HMIs while ensuring safety and reliability in a dynamic environment.

Qualified candidates have experience with industrial automation, strong problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility for on-call work, including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate electrical and automated control systems and associated equipment.
• Monitor control systems, equipment status, and alarms to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Diagnose electrical and control system failures using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, testing, and repairs on electrical and control components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and vendors as required.
