Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and operate electrical and automated control systems and equipment. You will read schematics, work with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and HMIs, and support root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, preventive maintenance, and the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, engineering, and vendors across an aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance (if required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate electrical and automated control systems.
• Diagnose failures using schematics and diagnostic tools, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and vendors as required.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records and proper safety compliance.
