Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Contracts Specialist to draft, negotiate, and manage aircraft sales contracts domestically and internationally. You will act as a liaison across departments, ensuring timely execution and contract accuracy.

The role supports the Sales team, reviews requests, and coordinates with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve contract issues while maintaining compliance and risk controls. Domestic travel to Independence, Kansas may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to draft contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.
• Working knowledge of corporate policies, practices and procedures, with ability to improve established policies.
• Understanding of legal contract concepts, negotiation strategies, and contract process automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes contract requests, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Drafts and negotiates contractual instruments.
• Proofreads, edits, and fact-checks documents for accuracy.
• Communicates contract policy to internal teams.
• Ensures contract review and execution per guidelines.
• Prepares routine correspondence and contract documentation for timely submission.
• Maintains contract records and filing for performance compliance.
• Supports contract audits and trends.
• Performs contract closeout activities.
• Manages invoicing and deposits/payments related to contracts.
• Collaborates with Customer Account Managers to meet obligations.
• May negotiate terms with customers or outside attorneys.
• Mitigates company risk and ensures compliance with laws.
• Understands general terms of commercial contracts.
• Coordinates with legal and departments to resolve contract issues.
• Assists in development of less complex business alliances.
