Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead aviation construction projects from inception to completion. You will guide estimators, negotiate contracts, develop schedules, and manage budgets while coordinating with owners and design teams.

Based in or willing to relocate to the St. Louis area, you will travel nationally up to 25% and shape project outcomes through strong leadership, safety emphasis, and value engineering insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience with aviation, hangars, MRO, airport facilities, industrial, manufacturing, federal, defense, logistics, or technically complex projects preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• Based in Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction through completion; including estimating, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, scheduling, budgeting, design review, and execution.
• Work closely with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Manage complex aviation construction work including hangars, MRO facilities, FBO's, cargo facilities, aircraft support buildings, aviation manufacturing facilities, and other airport-related infrastructure.
• Participate in proposal meeting with owner to review the scope of work and provide value engineering ideas.
• Support aviation pursuits by helping with site reviews, constructibility input, schedules, budgets, scope reviews, and client meetings.
• Lead subcontractor buyout and ensure scopes are complete, coordinated, and aligned with the project schedule and budget.
• Partner with Superintendent to ensure safety, quality control, and schedule
• Travel 25% nationally
