Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery in Los Angeles is seeking a Construction Manager- Aviation for an anticipated opening. You will lead all phases of complex aviation projects, including baggage handling and terminal works, from pre-construction to project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in construction management.
• Strong organizational and management skills with ability to work with a broad team.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and construction PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors to meet project objectives.
• Enforce quality control and safety protocols on sites.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, codes and safety.
• Oversee procurement and management of contracts and subcontracts.
• Negotiate contract terms and manage contractor performance.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present project status reports and address issues promptly.
• Identify and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
• Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals.
