Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced leader to manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction to closeout in Chicago. You will drive client relations, build high‑performing teams, and oversee schedules, budgets, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities include securing new work, enforcing safety, and applying BIM/Lean technologies to optimize outcomes. Bachelor's degree and 18+ years’ experience required; compelling communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least eighteen years of related construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles.
• Ability to seek out and win business opportunities; knowledge of regional market.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency with MS Office.
• Advanced presentation skills.
• Ability to read/interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedule.
• Experience applying BIM and Lean to projects.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and coordinate all phases of one or more projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Contribute to securing new work for the company.
• Develop and maintain client and design-community relationships for business growth.
• Develop high-performance teams through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
• Ensure adherence to ethics, compliance, and QA/QC on projects.
• Oversee master project schedule, budget, and financial management.
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions.
• Drive safety protocols and Turner initiatives across projects.
