Job summary

Embraer is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic (composites technician) in a commercial MRO setting to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul on aircraft and components, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires precision, efficiency, and adherence to FAA and OEM standards in a high-volume, tight-turnaround environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting composites, determining repair schemes, performing repairs with advanced materials, interpreting drawings, and ensuring all work

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; Airframe or A&P license preferred but not required.
• Experience with composite repair and interpretation of OEM/FAA data is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Inspect composite components for defects or corrosion.
• Decide repair vs. replacement and source parts as needed.
• Perform repairs using pre-preg, honeycomb, carbon, and fiberglass materials.
• Trim, sand, drill, fit, and assemble composite parts with hand tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, SRMs, blueprints and manuals.
• Repair, rework, and modify worn components; document changes.
• Follow FAA-approved procedures and OEM data; use work packages.
• Consult Lead for technical questions during repairs.
• Inspect finished work; perform rework to required tolerances.
• Run serviceability tests on repaired components using OEM tools.
• Complete work packages; sign/stamp upon finish.
• Submit progress for review and final QC re-certification.
• Provide performance data to Management as requested.
• Account for time and materials used in maintenance activities.
• Adhere to repair station procedures and SOPs.
