Job summary

V2X in the United States is seeking an Aircraft Component Repair Technician to perform overhaul and repair of aviation components across multiple production areas, including NDI, Wheels/Brakes, Blowers/Motors, Landing Gear, and Sheet Metal. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to interpret varied instructions, with a focus on safety and quality.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience; an FAA A&P license is preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2+ years of experience in aircraft component maintenance preferred.
• FAA Airframe and Power Plant license preferred but not required.
• Strong technical knowledge in aircraft mechanical component repair is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft component overhaul and repair.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the shop assigned.
• Maintain daily component status reports.
• Manage weekly component inventory and status reports using multiple sources of information.
• Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
• Prioritize daily workload based on program, management, and/or scheduling requirements.
• Plan and execute component repair activities.
• Identify problems and provide input for solutions.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Read, understand, and respond to written instructions and logbook notations.
• Inform appropriate personnel of materials and equipment problems.
