Job summary

Qualifications

• At least two years of insurance adjusting experience on auto, bodily injury or property claims.
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business Administration, Insurance or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with multiple task handling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, tact and diplomacy.
• Knowledge of industry, legal and technical developments relevant to the company's business.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and handle aviation insurance claims to conclusion.
• Analyze facts of loss for coverage, liability and damages.
• Ensure proper reserves, documentation and processing per claims practices.
• Evaluate, negotiate and settle hull and aircraft claims within authority.
• Select and supervise outside adjusters and other vendors.
• Prepare written reports for management on pending claims.
• Prepare proper written correspondence to insureds and others.
• Provide verbal updates to management on claim status and outcomes.
• Attend trials and settlement conferences as assigned.
