Job summary

Langan is seeking a Civil Engineering Practice Lead to grow its national aviation practice. This role will drive strategic expansion, guide technical excellence, and deliver airport projects across the United States from a Nashville-area presence.

Responsibilities include client development, staff leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to win and manage large aviation assignments while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• PE licensure in at least one US state.
• Design experience on FAA and airport projects with reputable clients.
• Experience leading aviation staff and projects.
• Strong business development and client-relations track record.
• Ability to hire, manage, and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a progressive national aviation practice.
• Build and manage client relationships for aviation projects nationwide.
• Serve as technical lead in civil design, cost estimates, and specs for landside and airside works.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to engineering staff.
• Assist with talent acquisition to grow the aviation practice.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to cross-sell aviation services across North America.
