Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Civil Engineering Practice Lead to grow and lead a national aviation practice. You will guide technical delivery for complex landside and airside projects and develop strategic client relationships across North America.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, business development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to shape the firm’s aviation footprint and project portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one US State and ability to apply in multiple states.
• Design experience on FAA and airport authority aviation projects with a reputable client base.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff on aviation civil engineering projects.
• Experience in business development with a history of project wins.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a progressive national aviation practice.
• Build and manage client relationships to secure aviation projects nationwide.
• Provide technical leadership in civil engineering designs for landside and airside projects.
• Coach and supervise engineering design staff to meet objectives.
• Assist with talent acquisition to grow the aviation practice.
• Develop and implement aviation-focused business development strategies.
