Qualifications

• 0–2 years of internship experience
• Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct

Responsibilities

• Receive mentorship to assist experienced engineering staff in design and production of engineering plans and specifications for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
• Contribute to airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction administration tasks for commercial service and general aviation airports.
• Periodically perform construction field observations at aviation project sites and attend weekly construction meetings.
• Assist with project quantity take-offs.
