Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern to join our Orlando, FL office. You will receive mentorship while assisting with design and production of engineering plans for airport civil projects, including runways and taxiways.

You will contribute to airfield design, pavement design, lighting, and construction administration, with opportunities for field observations and weekly meetings. Pursue a BS in Civil Engineering and bring strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–2 years of internship experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Receive mentorship to assist experienced staff in design and production of plans and specs for airport civil projects.
• Contribute to airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and related construction administration tasks.
• Periodically perform construction field observations and attend weekly construction meetings.
• Assist with project quantity take-offs.
