Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern to join the Philadelphia, PA office. You will assist in designing and producing civil plans for airport projects, gain mentorship from experienced staff, and contribute to airfield geometric and pavement design.

You will use Excel and AutoCAD to prepare construction quantity estimates and occasionally perform field observations at aviation sites, under supervision.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of internship experience.
• Pursuing Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Has completed about 60 hours toward ABET‑accredited civil engineering program by Summer 2027.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and production of civil plans for airport projects under mentorship.
• Support airfield geometric, pavement design, and lighting tasks.
• Prepare construction quantity estimates using Excel and AutoCAD.
• Attend construction meetings and perform field observations as needed.
