Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Certification Engineer to support aircraft modification and certification programs in Atlanta. You will develop certification documentation, coordinate with FAA and project stakeholders, and ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of aerospace certification experience, knowledge of STC/PMA processes, and strong documentation and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of engineering experience in aviation or aerospace projects.
• Knowledge of aircraft certification processes and substantiation techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop certification plans, compliance checklists, and conformity inspection plans.
• Prepare substantiation reports and develop test plans/reports for flammability and cabin safety.
• Create certification presentations for regulatory and project meetings.
• Manage small STC and PMA certification projects.
• Coordinate certification data deliverables from suppliers and address inquiries and airworthiness concerns.
• Identify applicable airworthiness regulations for major design changes.
• Support interactions with FAA authorities through presentations and discussions.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on certification activities.
