Job summary

Mead & Hunt in Lansing, MI is seeking a CAD Technician to join our Aviation Planning group. You will prepare civil engineering design drawings, construction plans, and planning drawings for airports, and review data for accuracy.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (or higher) in CAD, engineering, GIS, or related field, and 2+ years of experience. Travel required about 5% and site visits may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Associat­e degree or higher in CAD, engineering, GIS, planning, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• If no degree, at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering design drawings, construction plans, and airport-related planning drawings.
• Complete design calculations and review data for accuracy.
• Develop sketches for reports and create record drawings from as-built data.
• Maintain CAD standards and assist in QA/QC.
