Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Baggage Handling Systems expertise to lead aviation projects nationwide and coordinate with airport leadership, TSA coordinators, and contractor teams.

This role requires 5+ years in aviation baggage handling project management, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication and organizational skills to drive schedules, changes, and successful commissioning. Occasional travel to major hubs should be anticipated.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of aviation baggage handling system project management/implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of TSA Planning Guidelines and Design Standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for airport leadership.
• Collaborate with TSA Regional Deployment Coordinators and contract personnel.
• Lead and manage construction and implementation teams.
• Resolve issues between design and construction/implementation teams.
• Organize and document project meetings.
• Lead stakeholder and operational engagement; coordinate, communicate, and report.
• Review design team responses to RFIs and submittals for contract compliance.
• Attend commissioning and testing of BHS systems to ensure adherence to requirements and TSA standards.
• Develop and monitor project schedules and deliverables.
• Review and process changes through Change Management.
• Coordinate all BHS elements with other program elements: design, schedule, cost, procurement, changes, reporting, installation, ORAT, commissioning, training, close-out.
