Job summary

United Airlines seeks a Global Procurement Senior Manager to lead asset trading strategies for engines and airframes, driving acquisition and sales channels, teardown oversight, and compliant execution. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize value from surplus assets.

You will mentor the asset trading team, negotiate favorable contracts, monitor regulatory compliance, and apply market insights to S2P processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Legal, Supply chain or another business-related field.
• 5+ years of consulting, sourcing, legal, audit, or finance experience plus 3 years of management experience.
• Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills; works well in high-paced cross-functional environment.
• Good business acumen and demonstrated capability of managing complex projects.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement acquisition and/or sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Lead the acquisition and sales strategy to ensure the effective execution of these strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks.
• Leverage market analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats to the acquisition or sales strategy. Monitor market changes and align activities accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards; oversee risk management to mitigate disruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing asset trading team and promote continuous improvement.
