Job summary

Volto Consulting seeks an OT Consultant specialized in AVEVA MES to join our onsite team in Kilbourn, IL. You will lead MES-OT integration with PLCs, SCADA and historians, driving interfaces to SAP and other enterprise systems.

This role requires close collaboration with plant IT/OT and automation vendors to resolve complex integration issues. The candidate will configure OPC UA connectivity, map tags, and support the full MES implementation lifecycle from requirements through hypercare,

Qualifications

• Good understanding of OT environments in manufacturing plants.
• Hands-on experience with OPC UA/OPC DA, PLC Integration, SCADA systems, Historian systems and industrial automation networks.
• Knowledge of ISA-95, ISA-88 and MESA standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot OT connectivity issues between PLC, SCADA, OPC and MES systems.
• Experience with MES implementation lifecycle: requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment and hypercare.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES-OT integration activities with PLCs, SCADA, Historians and plant equipment.
• Support development of interfaces between MES, SAP, UNS and other enterprise systems.
• Drive OT data enablement from shop-floor systems up to MES.
• Configure and validate OPC UA connectivity and tag mapping.
• Work with plant automation, IT and OT teams to resolve integration issues.
• Support SIT, UAT, FAT and Go-Live activities.
• Ensure successful deployment and commissioning of MES solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with factory SMEs, OT engineers, automation vendors and business users.
• Participate in requirement workshops, design reviews and project governance meetings.
• Prepare technical documentation including HLD, LLD, Interface Design and Deployment Guides.
