We are looking for a AV/VTCTechnicianto join our team!
Three or more years of experience working as anAV VTC Technician.
Primary Skills include:
- Candidates are expected to have experience with videoconferenceand conference room upgrades, knowledge of Extron and Crestroninfrastructure and control products, Bi-amp audio devices, Tandbergcodecs, projection system and other audio/video equipment knowledge.
- Installing complex AV systems. Technicians must complete technicalinstallation of AV systems, including equipment rack fabrication,site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and videoequipment, and implementation of Crestron Digital Media and controlsystems. Also, trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching andcontrol systems problems as required.
- Install, configure, integrate and test videoconferencing andintegrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, multimedia,displays, video projection systems, audio reinforcement systems,cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies,etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologies.
- Integrate and configure A/V systems with Crestron control systems.Install and configure Crestron Digital Media products.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in Developing and conduct on-site user and administrativetraining for the installed integrated A/V systems.
- Assist in design, integration, testing and troubleshooting ofvarious network and telecommunications systems including IP and ISDN networks.
- Assist in customer site surveys, including collecting andrecording existing detailed operational, functional and technicalrequirements, developing project scopes. This would be the designengineer responsibility not a technician.
- Understanding plans and specifications to identify the materialsand equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements.This would be the design engineer responsibility.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved inthe production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings.
- Load and test touch panels and control programs.
- Troubleshoot hardware cabling.
- Provide system testing and troubleshooting expertise on high-endA/V solutions as related to the remote control sub-systems of theintegrated solutions.
- Provide training and training material, including advancedtraining for the technical support and services personnel anddirects easy to understand basic training for the end-users of the systems.
Requirements
Required Experience
- At a minimum, 3 years of experience with troubleshootingvideoconferencing, audio conferencing, and integrated A/Vtechnologies in a large enterprise.
- At a minimum, 3 years of experience installing and troubleshootingDigital Media, BiAmp, Extron, Tandberg, Polycom, Crestron, Lutron,and corresponding hardware and software infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electricalequipment including related materials and specifications.
- Detailed knowledge of videoconferencing standards.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
