Insight Global in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Senior Test Engineer to drive the manufacturing test program for advanced automotive and autonomous vehicle systems, transitioning tests from prototype stages to scalable production environments.

The role focuses on defining methodologies, pass/fail criteria, and standards compliance, while advancing automation and test efficiency for production-scale rollout. This 12-month contract offers competitive hourly pay and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing or production testing experience.
• Experience developing or improving test methodologies and processes.
• Strong automotive vehicle hardware testing background.
• Ability to define pass/fail criteria and repeatable production tests.
• Experience scaling testing from prototype-level development to production environments.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards, ideally SAE.
• Experience developing testing plans, protocols, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing test methodologies and processes.
• Define repeatable production test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
• Create testing plans, protocols, and methods for automotive vehicle hardware.
• Support the transition of testing activities from prototype-level development to scalable production environments.
• Identify and apply applicable automotive industry standards.
• Recommend testing tools and process improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and development of manufacturing test programs.
