Job summary

Grand Island Casino Resort is seeking an A/V Technician I to support events and provide high-quality technology experiences for guests and staff. You will handle audio, visual equipment, and related deployments, while coordinating with IT and event teams to ensure smooth delivery and problem resolution.

You will be front-line in a customer-facing environment, assisting with event execution, equipment setup, testing, and live performance support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting events and venue technology operations.
• Knowledge of audio and visual principles and equipment.
• Ability to deploy and test audio/visual systems for events.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination and on-site standards.
• Strong communication during group meetings and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Events Services - connect, test, deliver, set, strike, and operate systems, or individual components related to guest or corporate events.
• Live performance event delivery - manages, operates, and maintains live performance equipment; coordinate band processes and test sound.
• Equipment deployment - Deploy audio and all visual technologies; assist with deployment of telephone, computing, and peripherals; test deployed equipment.
• Cable fabrication and management - routing solutions for event delivery; assist with patch management in data rooms.
• Ticket handling - assist end users with break/fix troubleshooting and equipment moves; document findings and solutions.
• Monitoring - actively monitor company technology assets for irregular use.
• Documentation - assist with writing documentation and step-by-step guidelines for actions taken.
• Vendors - manage problem resolution with 3rd party vendors including ticket creation and remote access.
• Team Mentoring - receive guidance and feedback from team members
