Job summary

Job description

Verta Technologies specializes in commercial audio and video systems for a wide variety of applications including: Corporate Boardrooms, DoD/Government Contractors, Conference Centers, Houses of Worship, Entertainment Venues, and many others. Verta Technologies is currently seeking a qualified candidate to provide support as a AV Programmer Level ii. This position is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining assigned AV systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Programming of audio, video, control, and other devices to create a completely functioning system. Answer trouble calls in a timely manner. Create and update detailed customer files regarding any trouble calls and communication. Work as part of a team or independently to solve complicated programming/troubleshooting tasks. This position would mainly serve a large government customer as a dedicated technician. Understanding of government processes and security procedures is a must. Routine system checks, firmware updates, patch fixes, and other system related task to improve “up-time” would be a daily task for this position. This position would have the ability to elevate trouble calls when necessary to internal Verta staff or utilize manufacturer support. This position would also identify potential issues and create maintenance plans to mitigate issues, create and implement equipment maintenance schedules, test systems prior to important customer meetings, set up and run technical systems for high‑level meetings. This position will require a high level of professionalism. Complete projects within the assigned timeline and prioritize trouble calls based on impact to the customer.

  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Point of contact for all communication between Verta and the customer.
  • Provide weekly job progress reports to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate equipment distribution and shipping to meet project timelines
  • Manage all internal and external project change orders
  • Manage or facilitate the testing and certification of installed systems
  • Ensure clients receive appropriate training on all installed systems
  • Create and maintain all project related documentation in accordance with company guidelines
  • Address all customer questions in a timely manner
  • Leads must display a positive attitude exhibit strong teamwork skills, time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations, and the capacity to accommodate hard deadlines are valuable skills.
  • Travel to various job sites required.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Abilities

  • Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques.
  • Understand technical and construction documents.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Education and/or Experience

***Must hold an Active Secrete Clearance or be eligible for a Secret Clearance***
