Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks an AV Technician to support and coordinate campus instructional media needs. The role assists staff and faculty on-campus and via distance education, analyzing and resolving technology issues.

The position requires an Associate's degree in Graphics Technology or related field with two years of experience in visual communications or media technologies; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Requires Associate's degree in Graphics Technology or related field with 2 years of experience in visual communications/media technologies.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with over 2 years of experience in visual communications/media technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Faculty Resource Center computer stations and copy center; maintain hardware and software supplies.
  • Prepare annual Instructional Technology budget; work with vendors and staff on site needs and system planning.
  • Provide technical support for collaborative technology such as two-way video and distance education connections.
  • Offer equipment, software and training support to faculty, staff and student workers for instructional materials.
  • Schedule and maintain A/V equipment; manage procurement and updates.
