Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking a full-time Equipment Technician to set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain audio/visual and distance education systems across MATC campuses and remote sites. The role requires hands-on operation, coordination with the Distance Education team, and responsiveness to instructors during classes and events.

Under the general supervision of the Coordinator - Alternative Delivery Systems, this position is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment associated with alternative delivery systems at Milwaukee Area Technical College. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, video systems, audio systems, teleconferencing, computers, cameras, fax, telephone, VCR, and laserdisc players and related equipment. The assigned location will vary among the four MATC campus locations, the Riverworks Center, and the Milwaukee Enterprise Centers. Other remote distance education receive sites associated with the College may also be included. The assigned hours will require flexibility to provide coverage during course offerings and other College events. Supervision is general in nature; standard practices enable the employee to perform independently, referring unusual situations to the supervisor for decision or advice.
