Job summary

Tusker is seeking an AV Installation Technician to install commercial and residential audiovisual, security, and other IP/network-based systems. The role encompasses project-led installation, wiring, mounting, and on-site troubleshooting in diverse environments.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently within a team. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring physical tasks and precise workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience installing AV, security or IP/network-based systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret written information and diagrams.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as drilling and mounting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish with clear communication.
• Install and operate audiovisual equipment in conference rooms and auditoriums.
• Connect low voltage wiring and terminate cables.
• Install wall plates, wall boxes and terminal boards.
• Troubleshoot faulty equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Install security cameras, projectors, microphones, amplifiers and lighting controls.
• Measure distances to layout work and drill mounts as required.
• Pull wiring through conduit and secure panels to framework.
