Job summary

Samaritans Purse in Boone, NC seeks an Audiovisual Support Engineer to design, install, and optimize advanced AV systems for conference rooms, situation rooms, and executive spaces.

You will configure racks, cabling, control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron) and unified communications (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms), troubleshoot issues, and work with IT, facilities, and project managers to ensure reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with 4–7 or 6–10 years of related experience; equivalent combo considered.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise AV systems incl. Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron; Zoom Rooms/Teams Rooms experience.
• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot AV hardware and collaboration tech.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AV solutions by selecting components for displays, video walls, mics, speakers and control systems.
• Integrate AV hardware/software into cohesive systems for each room or workspace.
• Configure racks, cabling, control programming and calibration for performance.
• Diagnose and fix AV issues via testing and on-site/remote support.
• Collaborate with IT, facilities, contractors and project managers.
• Train staff, create as-built drawings and user guides.
• Provide after-hours support to meet SLAs and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
