Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer on the Galileo team to design, build, and scale infrastructure for testing and evaluation of vehicle release and autonomous driving stack validation. You will own significant technical areas, drive production-quality implementation, and partner with cross-functional teams to support AV/ADAS development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience building and operating high-quality production software systems.
Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or C++.
Experience designing backend systems, data pipelines, or distributed systems.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software systems for large-scale autonomous driving evaluation workflows.
Own major components enabling simulation, test execution, analysis, and reporting at scale.
Build and improve infrastructure to process and analyze large volumes of data.
Drive reliable software delivery with testing, CI, and observability.
Collaborate across teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
