Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to support our service department by ensuring AV systems operate at peak performance. You will handle service calls, train clients on usage, and perform preventative maintenance with attention to safety and quality.

Role involves on-site visits, equipment delivery, and installations including cable pulls and mounting. Travel may be required; strong AV knowledge and hands-on installation skills are essential, with a focus on client

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Commercial AV industry experience.
• Experience with control systems (AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Q-Sys, Extron, Dante).
• Strong PC/Mac skills and OS familiarity.
• Familiar with Apple IOS products and interfacing with networks.
• Understanding of pre-wire, trim and final installation phases.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot commercial automation systems including conference room AV.
• Provide client training on AV system usage.
• Conduct preventative maintenance visits to client sites.
• Perform equipment delivery and related duties.
• Handle wiring, mounting and installation tasks on site.
• Install control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron/Dante) and troubleshoot.
• Interface with clients to identify issues and communicate resolutions.
• Prepare detailed service reports after each call.
