Job summary

Beacon Communications is seeking an AV Project Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of integrated AV systems. You will translate concepts into technical documents, schematics, and installation guides while working closely with sales, engineering, and installation teams.

The role focuses on evaluating drawings, designing systems, producing detailed diagrams, and coordinating across teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in professional AV engineering and construction environments.
• Ability to interpret specifications, RFI/ASI responses, and change orders accurately.
• Experience managing RFIs, ASIs, and change order documentation.
• Familiarity with commissioning, testing, and field support procedures.
• Continuing education through manufacturer certifications, webinars, and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate architectural drawings and specifications.
• Design functional AV systems based on client requirements and budget.
• Produce AutoCAD drawings, signal flow diagrams, and installation guides.
• Specify equipment ensuring compatibility, scalability, and standards compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Installation Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide ongoing technical support to field technicians and service teams.
