Job summary

A technology firm is seeking an experienced audio-visual Engineer in Columbia, Maryland, to design, estimate, and propose audio-visual solutions. The role includes creating detailed proposals and drawing packages, collaborating with engineering and operations teams. Ideal candidates should have multiple years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD LT, strong organizational and communication skills, and a good understanding of AV systems. Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience with estimating, designing, commissioning, and installing AV systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD LT, specifically for line diagrams and floor plans.
• Ability to multitask with strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read & understand architectural drawings and line diagrams.
• Strong experience with signal flow and audio signal types.
• Strong experience with control and processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design a variety of audio-visual solutions that meet customer needs.
• Develop AutoCAD drawing sets for designs.
• Deliver detailed proposal and drawing packages to operations.
• Work as a team member within the presales department.
