Job summary

Columbia University in New York is seeking an experienced A/V Manager to lead technical services for events and locations. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate audio-visual services, and ensure a customer-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities include leading the Technical Services team, establishing procedures for inventory maintenance, and managing budgets while collaborating with university departments and the public. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Technical Services support for assigned events.
• Coordinates and schedules all audio-visual services for events.
• Establishes procedures for operation and maintenance of AV equipment.
• Adheres to operating budget for maintenance and replacements.
• Creates standardized procedures to protect assets and control expenses.
• Collaborates with Event Management team and university stakeholders.
• Interacts with staff, departments, students and the public; supports a customer-friendly environment.
