GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY is seeking a skilled low voltage technician to perform installation, repair and testing of cabling and AV equipment across campus. You will pull and terminate cables, rack and integrate equipment, and mount displays in classrooms and event spaces.

The role requires climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs, with attention to safety and quality codes. Collaboration with facilities and events teams is essential to support campus moves and broadcasts.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a low voltage related environment (AV installer, cable or ISP service, or commercial cabling).
• Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must distinguish colors and read small print.
• Preferred certifications: PMI, CompTIA A+/Network+, AVIXA CTS/CTS-D/CTS-I.

Responsabilidades

• Install, repair, maintain and test low voltage cabling and equipment.
• Pull cables through walls, ceilings, and similar structures.
• Terminate Cat6, RG6, RG11, XLR, RCA and related cables.
• Rack and integrate equipment for network switches, processors and UPS units.
• Mount and relocate televisions and LED displays; install classroom AV gear.
• Complete work orders including wiring and troubleshooting to restore signals.
