Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an AV Technician to install, test, and commission AV and low-voltage systems across commercial sites. You will perform cabling, wiring, and equipment integration to meet project specifications and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with AV/low-voltage technology, adherence to codes, and strong customer communication. A valid EL06 license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in AV/low voltage or fire and life safety.
• EL06 License required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record, if driving role.
• AQSC Certification, Avixa/CTS Certification, Extron, ETCP preferred.
• Experience with commercial AV systems and integrated low-voltage platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment (speakers, projectors, displays) and testing; perform cable pulling and terminations.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing of AV equipment and cabling.
• Install, test, and commission alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Manage cabling, connectivity, and system integration.
