Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Systems Technician to install and maintain campus AV systems, including projectors, displays, racks, and signal distribution. You will lead student technicians, train the crew, and collaborate with full‑time staff to ensure quality and safety in all installations.

You will diagnose faults, respond to campus requests, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with AV technology and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing AV systems and leading technicians.
• Familiarity with safety guidelines and local codes.
• CTS certifications preferred and ongoing training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Install AV system components, wiring, and rack setups per design.
• Lead assigned student technicians; provide on‑the‑job training.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose AV system faults; perform on‑call support.
• Coordinate with trades and document system configurations.
