Job summary

Presidio is seeking an on-site AV Integration Lead Technician in Charlotte, NC to install displays, projectors, audio and control systems, and teleconferencing setups. The role requires frequent regional travel and collaboration with engineers, PMs, and contractors to deliver installations on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AV, the ability to lift heavy equipment, and hands-on experience reading AV diagrams.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the AV industry.
Must be able to climb a ladder, lift 50 lbs or more, stand for long periods, and bend/kneel with arms raised.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems.
Install, test, and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, HDBaseT, speaker wire).
Provide guidance to junior technicians and subcontractors; coordinate with AV engineers and project managers to meet schedule and budget.
Complete complex rack wiring for large-format environments.
Interpret AV signal flow diagrams and as-built drawings.
Assist with inventory, staging, and testing of AV and network hardware.
Communicate with general and electrical contractors and manage client-facing communication on-site.
Pursue AV certifications to support growth within the company.
