AVI-SPL in Dallas, TX seeks an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks on contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, rack fabrication, wiring, and layout. You may lead small installation crews and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You will read schematics, install low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber), use hand/power tools, test systems, and collaborate with other trades on site.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team.
• Audio-visual systems knowledge including projectors, displays, conferencing gear.
• Experience installing and terminating low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber) and wiring methods.
• Ability to lead small on-site installation teams.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 2–4 years AV installation experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to drive company or personal vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Perform installation tasks per project scope and directives.
• Demonstrate on-site leadership and oversee junior technicians.
• Read project schematics and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to install AV components.
• Test cabling and verify system functionality.
• Manage equipment and tools on-site.
• Coordinate with office for returns and communicate status to PM.
• Act as customer liaison and relay on-site changes.
• Coordinate with other trades and travel to sites.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and assist with other tasks as needed.
