Job summary

Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, MO is seeking a temporary Infrastructure & AV Technician to install and maintain AV and cabling, support site administrators, staff and students, and troubleshoot technology issues across district facilities. The role is temporary with an anticipated end date in early 2027.

Starting immediately, duties include audio-visual setup, documentation, training, and transporting equipment to district buildings. Hours vary, with some after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Job-related experience is required
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Responsibilities

• Installs cabling through walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. to code to maintain and update site operations in District facilities.
• Installs, tests, and maintains AV and security-related equipment for maintaining and updating overall site operations.
• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory database, preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs) to document activities, convey information, and provide an audit trail.
• Performs audio-visual related/cabling troubleshooting to maintain site operations.
• Provides audio-visual support and training throughout the District to support staff.
• Provides in-classroom support and information regarding procedures, processes, and safety for technology-related equipment.
• Researches computer solutions and the latest technology that provides best practices in technology to the district.
• Transports and sets up computer/AV equipment to district and district-approved buildings to provide technology resources on time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
