Job summary

Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, MO is seeking a temporary Infrastructure & AV Technician to install and maintain AV and cabling, support site administrators, staff and students, and troubleshoot technology issues across district facilities. Starting immediately, duties include audio-visual setup, documentation, training, and transporting equipment to district buildings. Hours vary, with some after-hours work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Installs cabling through walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. to code to maintain and update site operations in District facilities.
• Installs, tests, and maintains AV and security-related equipment for maintaining and updating overall site operations.
• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory database, preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs) to document activities, convey information, and provide an audit trail.
• Performs audio-visual related/cabling troubleshooting to maintain site operations.
• Provides audio-visual support and training throughout the District to support staff.
• Provides in-classroom support and information regarding procedures, processes, and safety for technology-related equipment.
• Researches computer solutions and the latest technology that provides best practices in technology to the district.
• Transports and sets up computer/AV equipment to district and district-approved buildings to provide technology resources on time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Description

Infrastructure and AV Technician

The Infrastructure and AV Technician's role involves integrating audio-visual technology to enhance thelearning environment, installing and maintaining various types of cabling, providing technical support to site administrators, staff, and students, and resolving building site issues.

This is a temporary position.

Anticipated Start Date:Immediatly

Anticipated End Date: 1/1/2027

Hours

• Monday through Friday, with occasional work outside standard business days.
• Hours vary based on theproject assigned.

Pay

$22.98- $28.85per hour (based on relevant work experience)

Job Duties

• Installs cabling through walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. to code to maintain and update overallsite operations in District facilities.
• Installs, tests, and maintains AV and security-related equipment for maintaining and updatingoverall site operations.
• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g. inventory database,preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs, etc.) to document activities, conveyinformation, and provide an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
• Performs audio-visual related/cabling troubleshooting to maintain site operations.
• Prepares status reports, user guides, and materials to document activities, provide writtenreferences, and convey information.
• Provide audio-visual support and training throughout the District to support staff.
• Provide in-classroom support and information regarding procedures, processes, and safety for technology-related equipment. (e.g. Applied Technology, Library Media Center andTelecommunications, etc.)
• Researches computer solutions and thelatest technology that provides best practices intechnology to the district.
• Responds to requests for assistance through multiple communication methods regardingtechnology-related issues to provide quick, quality service within a reasonable timeframe.
• Transports and sets up computer/AV equipment to district and district-approved buildings toprovide technology resources on time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of thework unit.
