Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer for the HIL Platform and Services Team within the AV Organization. You will work at the intersection of software, AI models and hardware for vehicle autonomy, contributing to run, deploy, and test on GM's next generation of AVs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with EmbodiedAI, Model Deployment, Middleware, OS, SensorApplications, and Vehicle Integration, and requires building scalable, low-latency HIL services as a PaaS in a Linux environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production-quality software experience.
• Strong system fundamentals and Python/C++ coding.
• Experience in a Linux environment.
• BS, MS or PhD in CS or related technical field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to increase capabilities, fidelity, observability and scale of our HIL Platform and Integration services.
• Deliver reliable software through requirements generation, CI, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams.
• Deliver complex projects through incremental development.
