Job summary

General Motors is seeking an early career Software Engineer for the AV Launch team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design, implement, test, and operate services that manage autonomous driving software on GM vehicles, working across the software lifecycle from requirements to production.

You will learn from experienced engineers while contributing meaningful code for dependable, observable, and maintainable vehicle software.

Qualifications

• Recently completed a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in a STEM field.
• Graduation must have occurred within the past 9 months for completed degrees.
• Strong background in C++ and Python development.

Responsibilities

• Build on-vehicle services that provision, launch, and monitor autonomous vehicle software.
• Develop frameworks to configure autonomy software for varied hardware platforms and simulations.
• Monitor vehicle status and reliability.
• Ramp up on AV software, embedded systems, and production engineering practices.
• Grow through progressively more complex assignments from design to testing.
