Job summary

Level 3 Audiovisual seeks a Design Engineer II to serve as the engineer of record for select AV projects, owning full engineering responsibility from award through documentation, installation, commissioning, and programming support. The role requires collaboration with Sales and Operations to ensure clear communication and project execution across all phases.

The candidate will contribute to AV9000 quality reviews, provide technical guidance, and help build capabilities for larger initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; CTS certification preferred.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting and documentation skills for AV projects.
• Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and MS Office applications (Excel).
• Ability to interpret AV construction drawings and provide redline feedback.
• Experience designing integrated AV systems and private AV IT networks.

Responsibilities

• Owns as the engineer of record for small to mid-size AV projects and prepares construction docs.
• Leads design reviews and ensures AV9000 compliance and Level 3 drafting standards.
• Collaborates with Sales and Operations to align scope and deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation packages including layouts, schedules, and calculations.
• Travel locally within the US as needed and support commissioning activities.
