LINX Multimedia is seeking a Design Engineer responsible for AV system design and estimating for standard projects, from qualification to handoff. The role is independent, working with sales and operations to ensure accurate, buildable designs for clients and contractors.

The position requires a 4‑year degree or equivalent experience, 3–6 years in AV design/estimating, CTS(≥D) preferred, and proficiency with Bluebeam and estimating platforms. Strong written communication is essential.

• 4-year degree or equivalent related experience.
• 3–6 years of AV design or estimating experience.
• CTS required; CTS‑D preferred.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and estimating platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to carry an independent project workload and meet committed dates.
• Strong written communication for client and contractor documentation.

Mansioni

• Own design and estimating end‑to‑end from qualification through handoff.
• Produce complete bills of material and cost estimates, including freight, labor, and project expenses.
• Develop original system designs from client requirements and build to consultant‑specified designs where they exist.
• Write scopes of work with technical descriptions for contracts and field use.
• Identify scope and specification gaps early and resolve them with the account executive or client.
• Run site walk‑throughs and technical review meetings independently.
• Support account executives in requirements gathering and client‑facing technical discussion.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, general contractors, and electrical contractors on projects.
• Price and document change orders for the Operations team.
• Transition completed design packages to the Project Manager and installation team.
• Apply LINX design standards and flag deviations.
