Job summary

Bon Air United Methodist Church is hiring a part-time AV & Communication Specialist to ensure Sunday worship runs smoothly in-person and online, while managing the church’s digital presence.

The role includes live audio/visual oversight, video editing and uploads, volunteer coordination, and daily website/social media management, with a focus on ministry and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian with a heart for God and view media/tech as ministry and stewardship.
• Experience with live audio/visual equipment, livestreaming, and presentation software.
• Familiarity with OBS, YouTube Live, website editing, social media, email marketing, and graphic design.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Calm, gracious, dependable presence during Sunday worship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audio, visual, projection, and livestream operations for 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday services.
• Edit, export, and upload recorded services to YouTube and church platforms.
• Recruit, train, and schedule 2–3 volunteers for backup AV coverage.
• Maintain and update the church website, online calendar, and event information.
• Design weekly worship bulletins and digital announcements; manage social media and newsletters.
• Collaborate with Senior Pastor and staff to reflect the heart and mission of Bon Air UMC.

Position Overview

Bon Air United Methodist Church is seeking acommitted, faith-driven individual with a heart for Godto serve as our AV & Communication Specialist. This position helps ensure our Sunday worship services run smoothly in person and online while supporting the church’s digital communication, website, and graphic design needs.

Key Responsibilities

Audio/Visual & Worship

• Oversee audio, visual, projection, and livestream operations for the9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday services.
• Edit, export, and upload recorded services to YouTube and other church platforms.
• Recruit, train, and schedule2–3 volunteersfor backup AV coverage.

Digital Communication & Outreach

• Maintain and regularly update the church website, online calendar, and event information.
• Design and prepare weekly worship bulletins and digital announcements.
• Manage church social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
• Prepare newsletters and maintain the electronic church directory.
• Provide graphic design and computer support for church ministries and special events.

Team Collaboration

• Participate in weekly staff meetings to coordinate worship, events, and communication.
• Work closely with the Senior Pastor and church staff to ensure media, graphics, and messaging reflect theheart and mission of Bon Air UMC.

Compensation

Compensation:
Annual Salary Ranges commensurate with skills and experience: $25,000-30,000
