Job summary

Forterra is seeking a Training Manager to lead company-wide training programs for autonomous ground vehicle operations. This role sits within Customer Success but owns training strategy and execution across the organization.

You’ll design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs that ensure operators, maintainers, and safety personnel are equipped to work with autonomous systems. You’ll centralize and standardize training processes, building scalable programs for 100-150 internal

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical training, instructional design, or customer enablement roles.
• Experience leading teams and delivering technical training.
• Background in corporate or formal education or equivalent program-building experience.
• Ability to learn complex technical systems and translate into effective instruction.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Program, and Field teams.

Responsibilities

• Own Forterra’s training strategy for customer and internal programs.
• Design and evolve curricula with classroom, hands-on, and scenario-based elements.
• Develop instructor guides, slide decks, labs, assessments, and certification criteria.
• Coordinate training delivery with trainers, Field Service Reps, and SMEs.
• Keep content current with product capabilities and best practices.
• Lead training activities during program kickoffs, sustainment planning, and deployment readiness.
• Support program planning, proposals, and timelines related to training scope.
• Incorporate customer and field feedback for continuous program improvement.
• Define processes for training intake, prioritization, and execution.
• Track metrics on readiness, completion, and customer enablement.
