Overland AI is hiring a Systems Safety Engineer to own system safety for autonomous ground vehicles across the lifecycle. You will produce hazard analyses, safety requirements, and verification evidence for MIL-STD-882E programs and customer certifications.

You will collaborate with engineers, ensure traceability from hazards to mitigations, and support safety releases and risk acceptance decisions across multiple programs. Seattle-based role with competitive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Hands-on system safety engineering experience on complex systems (autonomy, robotics, vehicles, defense).
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E or ISO 26262/21448 related standards.

Aufgaben

• Perform hazard analyses (PHA, FHA, SHA, SSHA, O&SHA, FMEA, FTA) per MIL-STD-882E.
• Analyze autonomy and software-controlled behaviors for safety controls.
• Define safety requirements and trace them into system/subsystem requirements.
• Partner with internal teams to drive safety features to implementation.
• Maintain hazard tracking and safety case with traceability from hazard to mitigation to verification.
