Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our Software Systems and Safety Engineering group in Pittsburgh. You will help ensure the safety of autonomous vehicle software by analyzing systems, deriving safety requirements, and contributing to the safety case across the full stack.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, perform safety-oriented analyses, and support design proposals while communicating clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE/EE/ML or equivalent.
At least 3 years in safety-critical system engineering.
Experience performing software safety analysis at architecture level.

Responsibilities

Contribute to functional safety for autonomous vehicle software.
Perform safety analysis to identify vulnerabilities and derive safety requirements.
Support safety case development across the full stack and collaborate with teams.
