Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks an Autonomy Engineering Manager to lead a ~10-engineer team focused on fault management and satellite/constellation autonomy. You will define architecture, mentor SMEs, and ensure program objectives are met on time and on budget.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and 1st shift onsite work. Pay range for Level K is $151,300–$222,500, with total rewards and benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years experience in satellite design and/or operation.
• 1-2 years experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams.
• Strong Autonomy fundamentals and spacecraft system level knowledge (1+ year experience).
• Familiarity with satellite hardware and software (5 years experience).
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage team of ~10 engineers, including mentorship task assignments, facilitation of communication, and regular feedback.
• Perform technical review in the area of Autonomy with support from SMEs.
• Drive execution on programs for the Autonomy subsystem.
• Develop and improve of engineering process.
• Define the team's organizational, scope, and workflow to promote efficiency.
• Grow the team through hiring and internal development.
