Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, seeks an Autonomy Engineering Manager to lead a ~10‑person team, drive autonomy subsystem programs, and define processes. This onsite role requires a TS/SCI eligible candidate and close collaboration with SMEs and Recruiting to scale the team.

You will set engineering standards, forecast staffing, and manage performance while coordinating IRAD initiatives with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years experience in satellite design and/or operation
• 1-2 years experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams of engineers
• Strong Autonomy fundamentals and spacecraft system level knowledge
• Familiarity with satellite hardware and software (5 years experience)
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Manage team of ~10 engineers, including mentorship task assignments, facilitation of communication, and regular feedback
• Perform technical review in the area of Autonomy with support from SMEs
• Drive execution on programs for the Autonomy subsystem
• Develop and improve of engineering process
• Define the team's organizational, scope, and workflow to promote efficiency
• Grow the team through hiring and internal development
