Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Maritime Autonomy Engineer to design, implement, and validate autonomous behaviors for USVs, UUVs, and multi-agent systems in challenging maritime environments. You will work across perception, planning, and control stacks with a multidisciplinary team.

You bring 3+ years in robotics, ROS/ROS2, C++ or Python on embedded Linux, and a track record in sensor fusion, state estimation, and navigation. A TS/Secret clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of robotics or systems engineering experience.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 for sensor integration.
• Proficiency in C++ or Python for embedded systems.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, CE, or Robotics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous behaviors for maritime robotic systems.
• Develop and validate software modules across perception, planning, and control stacks.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware leads, and mission stakeholders.
• Participate in full software lifecycle from architecture to field testing and refinement.
